Kebabs can be traced back to Asian and African cuisines as the word means to roast or add spices to a meat patty. They started being served with rice and salad but are now served with vegetables and bread as well. Some of the first mention of a kebab was in Turkey when soldiers grilled chunks of animals that were freshly hunted and they would skewer them on their swords over open fires. Now days, many kebabs are marinated in spices and flavorings before being cooked. You can find what seems like limitless recipes for kebabs for whatever taste you are in the mood for.
Instead of posting my recipe, I will post links to several ones I have liked and used in the past for you.
